WHAT IS RAD ALL ABOUT?

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

3 courses X 12 weeks each = LIFE LONG CHANGE

The RAD program is broken down into 3 twelve-week courses incorporating hands-on learning and applying Biblical solutions to the issues that face today’s young adults.  RAD offers nine months of training that highlight the following: Self Identity, Spiritual Growth, and Reproducing Disciples.

COURSE 1: Self Identity "Discover Who You Are"
Ever wonder who you truly are in Christ? Course one helps you cut through the layers of social fluff and grasp the core of who you really are…in the eyes of your Creator. Through hands-on and situational learning you will grow to be the person God wants you to be.

Course 1 topics include:
Team Dynamics, Personal and Team Trust, Freedom in Christ, Life 101, Self Pruning, Personality Compass, Spiritual Gifts, God's Character and Personality, The Fruit of the Spirit and Personal Reflection.

COURSE 2: Spiritual Growth "Discover God's Will"
Now that you have a sense of who you are, it's time to take hold of who God is, and what role He is playing in your life. Course 2 leads you through knowing how to distinguish God's voice and step out in obedience. This is when you take His love to the streets, carefully listening to the voice and direction of the Holy Spirit.

Course 2 topics include:
Worship and Prayer, Witnessing, Outreach Tools, Armor of God, Heart of God, Mentoring, Spiritual Warfare, Character and Marks of a Disciple, Maturity in Christ, Hands-on Ministry, Rooted in the Word, Communion with God and Hearing God's Voice.

COURSE 3: Reproducing Disciples "Make a Difference"
By the time you reach the last 12 weeks of the RAD program, you will have learned who you are and how to apply the gifts and talents God gave you to reach out to others on the streets, in the marketplace, or even within the church body. Now it's time to stand! Course 3 releases you to be the 'disciple maker' God created you to be. In this last course you will be the leader and mentor of incoming RAD participants as well as 'test the waters' by becoming an intern of an area business in the career field of your choice. This enables you to become more certain of choosing a major should you go on to college.

Course 3 topics include:
Servant Leadership, Student Mentoring, Program Facilitation, Promotional Trips to High Schools and Churches, Campus and Course Maintenance, Bible Study Outreaches, Business Management and Course Development.
