Have you ever traveled on nothing but a wing and a prayer?  That is how this RAD team travels, and I like it like that.  Before leaving Maryland, leader Kara made a careful and detailed plan of where our team would travel.  A few hours into the journey, the Lord told Kara that He had other plans.  Kara gathered the team together to pray about where we should go.  The Lord revealed and confirmed several pieces of information…

While this is an astounding bit of knowledge, it was still pretty vague considering we had never been to Charlotte before, but we followed as best as we could.  Soon we found ourselves outside a large Presbyterian church in downtown Charlotte on West 5th Street.  Although it was after nine, lights still glowed in the church office.  We made our way to the door and knocked.  A man sitting in the office stepped out and we asked for permission to park our RV in the church’s parking lot.  He went to find someone who could help us.  Rob said a quick prayer, “Lord, if there’s a black Janitor here, I pray you bring him to us.”  As the word “amen” fell from our lips, the man returned with a black janitor at his side.

We spent the next hour ministering a message of love and encouragement to Al.  He felt very blessed that the Lord would send us to Charlotte, North Carolina just for him.  God is AWSOME!
