Hey Yvette here! Well, we had a 13 day excursion on the Appalachian Trail where we hiked a total of 51 miles. When I felt like I couldn’t make it anymore I just began to sing these few lyrics. “I need You Jesus to come to my rescue, where else can I go.” In that, He gave me an incredible peace and desire to go full force to the finish line. It felt awesome to finish something I never imagined being able to do.
Let’s see, we also have been rock climbing. It was so amazing being able to get over some major fears of heights. Also fear of failure, feeling incapable of being able to climb up a rock, but I did it. I cried almost all the way up but I succeeded.
Now in our 6th week of R.A.D we are living in bamboo and tarp shelters we created with our own two hands. God is teaching me to “expose” myself and it’s awesome. In this pursuit of “exposing” who I am, it’s required me being vulnerable with my team, tearing down walls and facades in myself, and choosing to trust. Is it easy? No. Is it worth it? Heck yeah!
