My name is Matthew Griffis, but better known as “Yogi.” I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and I’ve lived in the same house my entire life, which has produced quite an itinerant spirit within me. I was a nuisance of a lad, while growing up, but I’ve been told I’ve become quite distinguished these days. However, I must argue it is just my new eyeglasses that produce such a thought. In all seriousness, my life changed in May of 2006, when I decided to start following Jesus. No, it wasn’t all emotional, or anything, I just pretty much decided to stop running amuck and pick up my cross, which I sometimes drop.
As some of you may know, I’ve recently stumbled into another step of my life. God has been changing me since I got saved, and he recently thrust me into RAD Ministries. It is a really awesome, yet challenging place to grow and I’m really hoping God completely revolutionizes my view of this world. Essentially, I’m looking to live and breathe God, which I’m not sure what that looks like yet, but that is why I’m on a journey! So, this is my concise auto-biography, thus far, which will expand as God expands in my life, which hopefully I’ll be able to include a wife in my next little shindig. Pray it in and bring it on!
