My name is Katie Glynn. My hometown is Rockford, Illinois. I enjoy running, horseback riding, reading, art, traveling and learning foreign languages. My passion is for missions.
I received Jesus into my life when I was five years old. I grew up in a Christian home and was homeschooled by my mom. As a teenager I was part of a local ministry to the impoverished and homeless in the community. Through involvement in that ministry, God healed my family and put a desire to be part of community service on my heart.
When I was eighteen I went to Honduras on my first missions trip. God impacted my heart greatly and I came home with a desire to serve in missions. I got a volunteer job with a treatment center and learned Spanish. I have been back to Honduras two times since that point. In 2006 I enrolled in an all Spanish-speaking Bible college on the border in Texas.
God has put a great desire for missions on my life, and this is what makes my heart burn.
