Hey Everybody,

I have been interning at the Church of the Cove in Townsend, TN for the last 5 weeks.  After I left here on RAD’s road trip, I prayed about being able to move here after graduation. I never expected to be doing a 6-week internship in Townsend.  God answered my prayer and has given me an opportunity to see if this is the place I want to move to.

The second week of my internship I was invited to go to The Passion (a college age ministry) in Atlanta, GA. When they invited me to go Passion, it was sold out, so we all prayed. On the day we got to Atlanta, there happened to be a ticket that came available. I was blessed to be there. Louie Giglio & Frances Chan were the speakers for the weekend. God was speaking to me throughout the weekend.  He made me realize I am more selfish than I actually thought. There are times when I put even small things in front of Him. He gave me a verse from Jeremiah 33: 3: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

While I’m here at the Cove, I am able to be involved with many of the ministries here. On Mondays I am with Ryan Blanch, the administrative pastor. He has shown me how to preview some videos to see if they are able to be shown in the small groups or different Bible studies. Tuesday I am with the youth/missions pastor, Greg Roberts. I’m learning how to be more involved with the youth. I’m also learning that missions isn’t just going to different countries, but organizing events to serve around the area. Wednesday I am with the senior pastor, Darren Wigington.  I have gone with him to nursing homes and other people’s houses to pray for and grow a relationship with them.

When I’m not with the 3 guys, I listen to what God is telling me to do. God has been telling me different things. I have gone to an elderly couple’s house and have done yard work for them. I have also been able to go to Wears Valley Ranch and help them power wash a few porches so they could stain them.

 Please continue to pray for me as I continue to grow into the person God sees who I am.
