Hey Everybody, I’m here at RAD Ministries in Gainesville, GA.  I flew here on Sunday, September 16. When all of my team members arrived at the RAD campus, we had orientation.  My teammates’ names are Matthew (Yogi), Wes, Yvette and Katie. Matt, Wes and Yvette are from Jacksonville, FL, and Katie is from Rockford, IL. The age groups vary from 18-23.

Monday when the day started at 6:15 am, I knew the journey to look towards Jesus Christ was just beginning. We started our day off with a good morning exercise at about 6:30 am. After breakfast that morning, my team members and I went with the staff to the lake. Later on that day we had our classroom sitting on Rob Finney’s (director of RAD) pontoon. We spend most of our time having a hands-on course, which means our classrooms are wherever the Good Lord directs us to.

Tuesday the 5 of us students went to the lake again but we were on land the whole time. We learned a lot of interesting skills.  I enjoyed the day because it was a lot of new things for me. 

Wednesday the 5 of us and the staff members did more training on the lake.  We had to work as a team as each person gave proper ideas to make everything work in order.

Thursday we took a road trip to a lady named Jamie Shankles house. In that training session she taught us how to work together as a team with different kinds of games and activities. That worked out well, but the team had a few minor complications. This brought out conflict, but we learned quickly how to resolve the problem if the situation ever came up again.
